The Works team is responsible for the strategic procurement for the execution of works in our high-voltage substations (electrical works and civil works) as well as works to be carried out on our high-voltage lines, pylons and underground cables.
As well as the follow up of projects in progress (from a commercial and contractual point of view).
Tasks : 🎯
- Develop innovative procurement strategies based on market knowledge for projects and manage the entire procurement process, including market publication, bid analysis, negotiations, bid evaluation and project awarding.
- Work side by side with passionate colleagues and internal experts to understand the needs of our projects and align them with the market.
- Build expertise (market and technical knowledge) within your category in order to (help) develop a strategy in the short and long term. This in collaboration with a multifunctional team to identify improvements and opportunities.
- Take the lead in setting up procurement procedures for critical projects.
In addition, the following items may also be part of the mission :
- Up on projects in progress (from a commercial – contractual standpoint). This includes: Following up and negotiating additional costs charged by the supplier, ensuring that contractual conditions are met (quality, planning, safety, etc.). This requires onsite visits.
- Bridges with suppliers to achieve our goals for energy transition. Working closely together with the Supplier Manager.
- Alignment with your peer at 50Hertz (Berlin, Germany) to share insights.
- Sharing your market and category knowledge when negotiating contractual terms
Technical skills : ⚙️
It is an asset if the service:
- Experience within procurement
- Experience with SAP and/or Ariba
- Experience in project management
- Experience with MS office and/or PowerBI
Soft skills : ✨
- Master’s degree in a technical or commercial field or have a technical – economic background through experience.
- Strong technical affinity.
- Work autonomously but you are also a great team player.
- Analytical, Strong communicator, persuasive and dare to question existing methods.
